Broma
Calamaro "le quitó" el Premio Nobel a Mario Vargas Llosa para dárselo a Joaquín Sabina
La broma dejó mudos por unos segundos a los miles de asistentes al concierto del Salmón en el Jockey Club
Andrés Calamaro no tuvo mejor idea para presentar el tema "Todavía una canción de amor", un 'cover' de Joaquín Sabina que tocó en su concierto en Lima, que felicitando a los peruanos por el Premio Nobel de Literatura obtenido por nuestro escritor Mario Vargas Llosa.
El cantautor argentino señaló que el premio de MVLL "es como ganar un mundial" para luego hacer reír al público con una broma.
"Yo soy muy tolerante con muchas ideologías, pero me acabo de enterar que le han quitado el Premio Nobel a Mario Vargas Llosa", dijo con semblante muy serio Calamaro, dejando expectantes a los asistentes al concierto. "Para dejárselo en custodia a Joaquín Sabina", añadió para iniciar con el tema del español.
La ocurrencia fue aplaudida por el público, que luego estuvo presto a seguir vociferando las letras de los temas de Calamaro.

Los peruanos pasan
Los peruanos pasan es una marcha militar peruana compuesta por el músico peruano Carlos Valderrama Herrera (Trujillo 1887-Lima 1950).
Marcha en clásico dos por cuatro, revela equilibrio musical y gran sentimiento marcial. Reconocida entre las mejores marchas militares del mundo, es interpretada en los desfiles oficiales peruanos, como el de Fiestas Patrias y en ceremonias de importancia civil y militar.

The Devil Knows My Name is the third solo record from Rob Zombie/ex-Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5. This is the only album to date which doesn't feature John 5's signature Telecaster on the cover.

Several artists including Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Jim Root (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Tommy Clufetos (ex-Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie), Piggy D (Rob Zombie), and Matt Bissonette (David Lee Roth) made guest appearances on the album. Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) was reported to have an appearance on the album, but it was canceled due to scheduling problems.

- "The Werewolf of Westeria" was the nickname used for the serial killer Albert Fish.
- "Black Widow of La Porte" is a reference to female serial killer Belle Gunness.
- "Harold Rollings Hymn" is an edited version of a song Danny Rollings, a convicted serial killer, sang before he was executed.
- "Dead Art in Plainfield" references serial killer Ed Gein, who worked in the area of Plainfield, Wisconsin.
- "July 31st (The Last Stand)" is a reference to the last victim of David Berkowitz, who was killed on the 31 July. This date is also John 5's birthday.

Remixploitation is the first remix album from guitarist John 5 (Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie) released February 14 2009 [1].

- Remixploitation explores his previous four solo albums Vertigo, Songs for Sanity, The Devil Knows My Name and Requiem.
- On December 15th the official John 5 website announced that a track from the album - Dorsia - could be heard on the official John 5 my space channel. [3]
- On January 13 2009, the cover for Remixploitation was revealed. In a tribute to the artwork for The Jimi Hendrix Experience's third and final album, 'Electric Ladyland' (1968), the cover features a bevy of beautiful naked ladies, a photo of John 5 and of course his signature Fender Telecaster. [4]
- On January 16 2009, following an announcement on the official website and myspace page regarding pre - orders, a release date for Remixploitation was given: February 14th 2009. [5]

- The cover for Remixploiation is based on the artwork for The Jimi Hendrix Experience's 'Electric Ladyland'. This was one of several covers that was released, although not the original idea from Hendrix. John 5 has long been a fan of Jimi Hendrix, citing him as one of his influences. In fact John 5 contributed a track to the Jimi Hendrix tribute album 'Hazy Dreams' back in 2003.[7]
- Eat It Up is the only original, new track on the album. This was confirmed by the site administrator for John-5.com: "Another question from my talk with John the other night - "Eat it Up" is the only original track on the album. It is not a remix of any of John's other works, but a stand alone new track." [8]

- Dorsia is a remix of the track Black Widow of La Porte from 2007's The Devil Knows My Name and carries soundbites from the films American Psycho and The Bride of Frankenstein. Dorsia is the name of a restaurant in New York that Bale's character Bateman, tries to get a reservation to in the movie American Psycho [9].
